Where's a good, inexpensive place to have a party if you can't at your own house?

i live kind of far away from my friends, so i wanted to have it closer to them, but i dont know how. i dont really wanna have it at one of my friends houses because its my party.. i was kinda thinking at like the park or something?

also what kind of things should we do? i wanna do something fun and creative that everyone can have a blast doing. i wanted like a paint fight, but i dont know how id do that without making a huge mess. i like the water fight idea, but what else?

i dont really want a "theme" because thats honestly a more little kid kind of thing.. the most theme i would do would be my favorite colors or something.

i just dont want my party to be a dud, cuz i never throw any...
