What do sweet 16's usually consist of?

So I'm having a sweet 16 and I'm planning it a bit early.


I wanted to know if it was like Quinceanera (party wise because quinces have so much more significance, I love it.)


Like, is it normal to have like a waltz, a father-daughter dance, a surprise dance, and the 16 candles thing?


I'm not going to have people bring me like gifts that represent things like a doll or a rosary because that's for quinces.


And is it normal to have my friends be in couples? I just don't want to seem like I'm having a quince again.
