UK 16th Birthday Party Ideas

I have been thinking about my 16th for ages, and I have no idea what to do.

I had a few ideas, but my friends did them for their 16th birthday parties so I cant really do them now.

I live in the UK and it would be between 8-12 people.

I don't really want to do a meal, and I don't live near the sea, or going to theme parks (these are what my friends did).


I don't think there is a budget of such, but I don't want it to be expensive.

The party would be all girls and they are not the sporty or adventurous kind, at all!

If you have any ideas that would be great, or if I've missed out a key bit of info, leave a comment and I will add it.

Thanks Tiff and Franny for both your ideas, they were great and sound amazing!

Franny I'm sure you daughter had a great birthday, but unfortunately, my mum said a limo is too expensive so I wont be able to do that :/

Tiff thanks for all your ideas, and I would answer your questions, but I don't have many hobbies, and I don't want to sound boring... unless shopping counts as a hobby! :)

I love the idea about the spa themed party, and maybe my mum will let me go out for a meal afterward soon too!

PS. I like if Hertfordshire, not Hertforshire, that typo i made really frustrated me :)

Hi Jenny,

For my daughters sweet 16, she had a total of 8 girls.

We just took them all out to dinner and then when we got back, to their surprise, a limo picked them up for a three hour scavenger hunt and joy ride.

then they came back to the house for a slumber party. It turned out really nice and all had fun!

Hi there! I would be very happy to help give you a few tips on planning your 16th. First I have a few questions:

What are your hobbies and interests?

Where do you intend to throw your party?

Do you have any sort of theme or color scheme that has been rolling around in your head?

What were your initial party ideas that you don't want to do anymore?

A sweet 16 does not have to be a large party to be loads of fun. For 8 to 12 girls, there are loads of things that you can do, but these depend on the questions I asked above.

For example you can have:

- A slumber party
- Spa party theme
- Movie marathon
- Scavenger hunt party
- Limo Excursion
- A day trip out with the girls
- Girls night in activities
- and much much more!
