Sweet 16 vs. Quincenera!

by Jocelyn

Okay, so i am Hispanic & since my mom & dad wanted me to have a quince so badly I decided to have one BUT its 2 months away!!

It's going to be on July 16 (a day before my actual birthday).

I am really concerned because I am afraid i won't get anything done on time.

So I was thinking about having a sweet 16. I can actually plan ahead if I have a sweet 16.

So I don't know if I should have the quince or sweet 16. What do you think?

Hey Jocelyn!

If your families heart is set on you having a Quinceanera celebration, well then maybe you should plan one.

A Quincenera is a very traditional celebration so it may just be very important to your mom. You could always throw a sweet 16 for your next birthday!

You should be able to plan this party in two months, I've done it in a week once. Get your friends and family to help out a little bit and you will do great!

I just started my second website, it's very young and new, but feel free to check it out. You are the first one I introduce it to, since it's so young.

Remember that a Quinceanera and a sweet 16 are very similar, apart from their own traditions.
