Sweet 16 Party and Sleepover

My Sweet Sixteenth Birthday is coming up in a little more then a year in a half, and I can't even decide where I want to hold the party!

I'm either thinking a 5-star hotel or the local event center.

But my two best friends are having there's a month on either side of mine!

How do I make my party memorable without being obnoxious?

And how do I get my mom to talk about it? She thinks a party is having 1 friend over and renting a movie.

She won't even start talking about a party until the day before! "We'll talk about it in a week."

Do I have the guests eat before they come, or plan a big feast?

I want dancing, but do I have a big formal dance or a semi-formal dance with all of my favorite songs(Miley Cyrus,Lady GaGa,Katy Perry, ect.)

And I want to have a sleepover afterward all boys leave the party with the girls, but do I have the girls stay or just a few of my closest friends?

And do we go to my place after the dance or stay and sleep there?

Do I give out gift bags or a invitation good enough?

I want to I have a spa theme for the sleepover part,but does that mean I have to have a spa theme for the whole thing?

When do I start sending out invitations? I can't decide if I want a color theme.

And where do I get a dress for the night that I like at a decent price?

Do I get a cake or cupcakes,both? Should I limit my guest list, or include all my friends?
