Split sweet 16

by 2 teenage girls
(Florida)

Me and my best friend want to have a split sweet 16.

Our birthdays are very close and we decided on a date in the middle (November 26th or December 3rd).

We would like to rent out a local Club house or ball room and have a DJ, and those we would be the most expensive costs besides (balloons streamers food drinks our cake and our dresses).

But we do want a party that everyone will remember, and we want to be able to see our guests.

Not have them covered up by the darkness and music.

What were asking for is an idea on...

  • food

  • how to interact with all of our guests

  • make everyone remember & talk about it in school

  • awesome but cheap

  • and invitations.

All ideas are helpful, thanks.

# Food: If you don't have a particular party theme that requires a certain type of food, I would recommend finger foods, fruits and breads in a buffet help your self style. You can make finger sandwiches, cook up a pizza and cut it into tiny rectangles, have a large tossed salad available, and maybe some other little finger foods from the boxed frozen section of your local grocery store.

Have a dessert section with lots of fruits, and a drink section with juice, water and pop.

# How to interact with all of our guests: Besides wandering around and schmoozing, I would say, why not organize an activity or party game? We have a section of activities and games on our site.

# Make everyone remember & talk about it in school: Make the party look and feel unique! Go with a theme that know one has done before, and keep your guests awake with competitions, a little dance floor for those who like to dance, and lots of great food and entertainment.

# Awesome but cheap: Go to the dollar store for decorations, shop around to find a cheap venue, and make your own food.

# Invitations: Check out our Sweet Sixteen Invitations here.
