Why don't you throw a color theme party, like "Pretty in Pink" where you can accent the color that you want, and at the same time make it a formal, or semi- formal bash!
You definitely seem to be onto something with your ideas, now all you need to do is push forward and make it happen!
Throw your party with tons of pink and make the dress code formal!
