I want to have a music themed sweet 16, but I can't think of any ideas of something good to do.

I am on a limited budget, so I can't get real expensive, but some ideas of how to chose good decorations and stuff would be great!

I want my colors to be black and red. But what could I do.

Please help, I have about a month tell my birthday. Pretty much and ideas you have would help my right now, but just to tell you, I don't want to have it at my house, but I can't think of anywhere else to have it.

I can have it at my house if I have to though. But I just can't think of any way to make a music themed party fun, I mean I don't want to just sit around listening to music. I thought about having like a singing or dancing contest, but I don't know.

But please just help me! This is my 16th birthday (the big day) and I want it to be fun and different! please help!

Oh yeah and what kind of outfit should I wear? that is if you have any ideas for that!

What You Can Do

For your party, you could set up a big projector and screen and attach a play station or wii and play games like dance dance revolution, guitar hero, singstar, rockband or anything like that.

Play these as competitions, then have heaps of rounds until you have a winner.

Then award the winner a prize like an awesome CD or if your on a smaller budget, you could award them a medal like the type you buy at the dollar store.

That's what I'm going to do for my party :D

As for your dress, you could get really creative (this will work better if the party is at night) by buying a plain black dress (preferably in a fairly simple style) and paint in glow paint.

Also use regular fabric paint, the other color of your party theme and add things like sequins so you really stand out. Go all out on this, but remember:

DONT MAKE IT TACKY!

Youu want to stand out by looking amazing, not terrible! for some ideas, google black, purple, pink dress (and/ or whatever other colors your theme is)

Just to let everyone know, I changed my colors, I am going to have the colors be black silver and purple. But thats pretty much all I know so far, so still if there are any ideas or thoughts that anyone has, please do share!
