Music Themed?

I want to have a music themed sweet 16, but I can't think of any ideas of something good to do.

I am on a limited budget, so I can't get real expensive, but some ideas of how to chose good decorations and stuff would be great!

I want my colors to be black and red. But what could I do.

Please help, I have about a month tell my birthday. Pretty much and ideas you have would help my right now, but just to tell you, I don't want to have it at my house, but I can't think of anywhere else to have it.

I can have it at my house if I have to though. But I just can't think of any way to make a music themed party fun, I mean I don't want to just sit around listening to music. I thought about having like a singing or dancing contest, but I don't know.

But please just help me! This is my 16th birthday (the big day) and I want it to be fun and different! please help!
