Low Budget Sweet 16

My friend's sweet 16 is in 6 months and she's asked me (15 yrs old) to help.

However, we are sweet 16 newbies, obviously, and we want some (a lot) of advice.

Sadly, but rationally, we're on a fairly low budget (approx. £150).

What music is best/popular? What non-expensive themes are good?

We were thinking of glow sticks strewn around the garden. We have three (fairly big spaces):

The garden
The kitchen
And the conservatory.

We were thinking of inviting 25-30 people.

We'd also use party food. It's a detached house, which could be useful to know.

Lights at Night aren't always for children!

You could do a black light and glow stick dance party, with upbeat dance and electronic and hiphop music.

You can maybe even use strobe lights and bubble machines :)

The light effects and high energy feel would make a memorable party. For the invites you could do a neon-on-black sort of thing.

Focus the whole theme on color and light and pretty effects, overall pretty inexpensive. And food could be creative, like sushi or something that you don't see at parties often.

Or food that's pretty and colorful to look at. And neon streamers. Also have everyone wear at least a little white so it glows a gorgeous purple under the lights. Best at night.

Excuse my bad grammar, I'm in a rush :P but I truly hope this helps.

Her favorite colors are a fun theme idea, use decorations in these colors, etc...
