Fun in the Sun!!!
Ok so i couldn't decide what theme to have for my sweet sixteenth...
Hawaiian,Beach Babes,Fancy dress etc. so i decide to combine all my ideas! Sounds crazy but it actually turned out to be soo much fun!
As my birthday is in the summer month of July, i thought i should make the most of the sun and have the venue in my garden, i had a gazebo put up and decorated it with lots of flowers and little fairy lights and when the sun went down it looked really magical!
I bought little balloon palm trees and put them at either side of the entrance along with a little message board which my guests signed, i attached pictures from the night around the edges to form a boarder - it made a nice little keepsake of the party!
Food: I had loads of fruit, some of which i put on bamboo sticks and made fruit kebabs which were healthy yet tasty!
i made loads of fruity smoothies and juices and put little umbrellas in the glasses to give them have a summer vibe!
i decided to grill chicken and steak and put some Hawaiian pizza on the menu too, i had a mixture of carrot and cucumber sticks for nibbles with a creamy dip, but of course i can't forget to mention my giant tower of haribo - which went down well with the guests!
Party games: As it was a beach/ Hawaiian theme i had loads of hula hoops and beach balls dotted around the garden so we had many volleyball tournaments and hula competitions but one thing that was really fun was the limbo line!
I have a giant trampoline so everyone was bouncing around and the water fights were so much fun everyone seemed to be having a brill time and i really enjoyed myself!
oh i forgot to mentioned the dress code: i asked everyone to dress in summery clothes to which they all wore flowery dresses and flip-flops i also gave everyone a flower necklace to add to the theme!
it was a great idea to mix the theme because i was able to play all types of music from dance to hula Hawaiian type!
well i definable recommend this party idea to all the people who are approaching their sweet sixteenth and i hope you have as much fun as i did!!!!
