We are calling my daughter's Sweet Sixteen party "Denim and Pearls". the guests can wear jeans and "dress" them up if they desire.
This is for a high number of people, and evening cookout that will turn to a dance after dark.

Well, you can call your crazy colors party a Neon Party.
Decorate with crazy neon colors. Get colorful strobe lights, have everyone wear one piece of white in their outfit and pass around highlighters to draw on each other.
This would make a fun dance party.
A diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend is also an awesome party theme.
I would say it would be nice as a formal party. Imagine everyone getting all dolled up wearing nice jewelery.
It would fit very well with the theme of the party.
Decorate with white and silver or gold would make the party very elegant too.
