Confused and moneyless

I recently asked my mom if I could have an oldfashioned princess ball for my sweet sixteen birthday but she said it would probably be too much money...

She also said that my guests parents wouldn't want to spend money on their dresses for my birthday party...

I really want to have a sweet sixteen but my mom said we just don't have that much money right now...

I dont know how to throw a good party with a bunch of my friends for not a lot of money...

If its gonna be just a regular party im not sure if id want adults or little kids there and my mom already said that's not happening...

I just want this day to be special and I want to stand out from the other parties my friends have thrown and i want to stand out from the people at my party...

I want to find the perfect dress and accessories but i don't know how to do that without spending a lot of money...

Please help me???
