Can't find the "sweet" in Sweet 16.

by Victoria
(Columbia, SC)

In order for you to help you must know what I'm going through. My dad is in the Army, so we just moved here not but a couple weeks ago and will only be here for about four more months.

So, that makes it hard to plan ahead. I am also Home-schooled so the only people I know besides my family is my youth group.

Which consists of over 100 teens. Since I only just moved here no one knows me very well and vice-versa.(this means I don't really have a best friend here)

This makes me wonder if anyone will show up to a party of someone they don't even know. My birthday is in September, this mean the options are even more limited because of school.

I can't have it here because we are renting and it is much to small. I thought maybe go to the beach, but who would want to drive an hour and half.

It would also be to much of a hassle on my parents(for tons of reasons which I'm sure you can imagine).

I tried looking at a theme-park, which is kinda my dream birthday. And maybe invite at lest one friend, but again I don't know anyone well enough. It would also cost WAY to much money.

That would be to hard on my family and would just make me feel guilty. I don't even know what the budget is and I don't think my parents would tell me because I'd worry about it. (and I would)

My parents want me to make a power point of all the options and how much they cost. (I know, right? Although it does make since.)

I would like my party to be great, memorable, and something more than just eating out.

What I really would like FOR my birthday is a father-daughter-dance. Because He has be deployed two times and I am blessed enough for him to be here this time.

I will never know what day with him might me my last day with him. I look up to him so much and I'm just grateful he is even here.

So my question is What do I even do? Any advice will be helpful.
