a big party or just something small like going to the movies and dinner?

Hey...im turning 16 in a few months and im really paranoid about having the most perfect party ever!

among my friends, im the first one to turn 16...so i dont really have an idea about how a sweet 16 party ought to be...! :|

here's what im flipping out about...should i have a proper theme to my party and probably hire a DJ, have a dance floor or just keep it simple and probably go out to the movies and then dinner....probably a sleepover later.?

what are the possible themes???

i really need help with choosing a dress as well..... im 5ft 2 inches tall with a slim figure and decent curves...should i go for something short??

ALSO, we're on a serious budget...so cant really have the crazy sweet 16 party...and am also wondering if we can afford a DJ... hmm....what else can i do in my party to keep my friends occupied and what else happens on a sweet 16?!?!?!?!?!

SHOULD I HIRE A HALL????? dont think i can have it at home.... HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hey, i'm just like you. turning 16 next may and i am the oldest in my group. I'm not really a big party person and there is no way my house is big enough or that my parents would let throw a party at home.

My first though was the friends list and determined a list (mainly girls) that are my close friends but also no one would be left out. I have a guest list of 11. I was think movies and dinner. There is an Italian place just outside the cinema i have in mind.

I'm not sure weather I pay for movies or write bring $12 for the movie ticket, but i will pay for dinner.
Themes, not too sure but i want to be wearing a dress.
Maybe that could help you out idea wise... :)
